A STORY THAT COMES FROM THE JURA REGION
The French Jura, a wild region of deep and protected forests, has been the birthplace of the first eyeglasses as early as the XVIIIth Century. We are passionate about this unique heritage and and proud to revivify this age-old traditional savoir-faire in the Jura region, in Paris and internationally.
HEIRS OF JURASSIAN LUNETTERY
Spectacles were born in the French Jura region, near Switzerland, from an ancient metalwork knowhow. This exceptional craftsmanship is known recognized all over the world. We revivify this savoir-faire with due respect for the tradition and a modern approach in our creations.
the forges of Baudin
The Forges de Baudin have marked the history of the Jura. These foundries were not only a manufacture but also a strong human community built on mutual aid and support. This family spirit has lived through several generations. The Baudin workers, also known as “Baudinier” shared solidarity and fraternity. The last stove shut down in 1959, but not the Baudin spirit!
Thus, with our name, we have chosen to pay tribute to this story that carries meaning and values
Our Jura workshop
Located in Champagnole, our Jura workshop was born in a territory rich in eyewear expertise. As close as possible to nature and the material, we are developing new models there and working in search of new materials specific to our artisanal approach.
TODAY IN PARIS AND INTERNATIONAL CAPITALS
The adventure continues today in Paris, and more precisely in the heart of Faubourg Saint Honoré, where our bespoke eyewear creation workshop and the showroom coexist. It is here a place of creation, research and high standards. But it is also a place that we want to be friendly, made up of informal meetings and exchanges. It is with the same spirit that we share with you troughout the European and international capitals.
